judgment standard

The presence of Hooded Munia stretches all the islands north of Australia from Melanesia to Guinea, where it is endemic.

The birds are small in size (9 / 10 cm) and are distinguishable by the head, face and throat completely blacks. The coloring of the lower part defines the subspecies and may vary from white mustard to clear the cinnamon. The sexes are distinguishable only by duller shades present in the female.

It feeds on seeds of canary seed, millet, white, panic, and niger seed lawns.

Its reproduction occurs during our winter, with temperatures around 20 degrees. Average of 3 or 4 broods per season with the help of nurses in captivity (White-rumped Munia).

The withdrawal of the bird is possible in our shop or at the fairs we will attend.
