The Citril Finch, belonging to the family of the Finches, is present in the woods and mountain pine forests in the European Alps and is present in endemic species in Corsica and Sardinia.

It feeds mainly on seeds and also of insects during periods of reproduction. We recommend canary seed, niger, lettuce and chicory, seed lawns.

The breeding period starts from April to June with an average of 3 broods per season.

The Citril Finch can hybridize with the Canary, and with birds of European fauna.

The difference between alpine and corso Citril Finch, is in smaller size and vibrant colors of the corso Citril Finch, in shades of green and yellow.
