The special birds are specifically requested by the customer and have one of the following requirements:
- come from breeders awards in the international area;
- with RNA ring specified by the customer;
- with higher beauty standards with the requirements for exhibition, selected through the established skills of Ornitologia Lodato and the actual availability of quality on the market. It is possible that for some subjects the availability of quality is not up to standard, so it is not possible to guarantee this point. For the most common subjects, our choice has reference to the criteria of judgment of the FOI or defined in the PDF created by us;
- with special requirements explicitly requested by the customer, for example: bird of very large size, with a drawing of a body part marked with a color more or less intense or frosted, etc., to be specified in the note field;
- relate to market news reported in our catalog (ex.: bullfinch mutation pastel yellow brown);
NB: The top birds can also be adults or reproductor.
The Red-headed Finch is from south Africa. The adult male differs from female in the red coloration of the head.
The female is of uniform color from gray to deep sand. Young birds are colored like the female but lighter and tending to mustard.
It feeds on seeds of herbaceous plants and small insects. We recommend seed consists of millet, seeds of panic, canary.
The breeding period is in the home countries in the months of September, October, November.
