The Bronze Munia or Lonchura cucullata, is a native of central-southern Africa, from Senegal to Ethiopia, up to South Africa.
It's small and round, range from 10 to 11 cm and has a gray brown to almost any body part except the belly white. The head is dark gray and has a feature spot on the wings of a brilliant emerald green color. The difference between male and female is nonexistent.
The diet of Lonchura cucullata is composed of grains of panic, canary seed, millet straw, red millet, niger.
The breeding period starts from September to January / February with an average of 2 to 3 broods per season.
