The Red crossbill of Himalayas is originary of northern India.

Those are small compared with other crossbills (15 cm). His appearance is very similar to the Asia-Europe cruises, and is distinguishable only for small size and the darker shade of red in the male and the darker brown in the female.

The power supply is composed of grains of hemp, niger, canary seed, sunflower seed, berries, seeds large type safflower, buckwheat, oats, and fontamentale for reproduction is the seed of fir.

The captive breeding may take place in late winter and spring with a mild temperature. The average brood is 2 / 3 per season.
